Jake Holmberg is a highly motivated new member of the FitELITE team. Initially Jake fell in love with fitness eight years ago when he began strength training for sports. Jake played football, basketball, and track and successfully performed in bench press competitions throughout high school. Jake continued with football through college as he received a scholarship to play at Concordia St. Paul where he played for one year. After, Jake continued his football prowess with the Eau Claire Crush for the past two years. With all of his experiences, Jake has transferred a lot of his knowledge into his passion of personal training.

Jake lives and breathes fitness and it shows as he helps others achieve their goals. Jake’s love for health and wellness helped him realize that personal training would make a perfect career path. Jake began training two years ago as he completed an internship with Highland Fitness and further trained as a personal trainer for year and a half. Jake is certified through AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) since 2008 and will be CrossFit Level I certified this spring 2010. Jake is furthering his knowledge in the health and wellness field by pursuing a kinesiology degree with a minor in marketing.

Outside of the weight room, Jake continues staying active through hiking, biking, playing basketball and football. Jake plans on competing in bodybuilding competitions in the near future. Jake’s passion for helping others extends past FitELITE as he mentors teenagers through Lutheran Social Services “YES” Program. When Jake is not working with youth, he loves being active with his little brother and sister who are 11 and 7.

Jake has a belief that when there is a will, there is a way! Anybody can do anything they put their minds to. Whether it is 20 pounds or 200 pounds you want to lose, you can do it! Attitude is everything, stay positive and reach your goals! Without your health what do you have?
